  • Pre-Tournament:

    • All wrestlers must purchase a USA Wrestling card to wrestle at local USA Wrestling tournaments. USA Wrestling cards are good for one season. You can print out a card or pay for one to be shipped to you for an additional fee. Please note: You will NOT be able to register at any USA tournament without it.

    • Know your wrestlers age division and weight class for registration. Wrestlers will be required to weigh in before the tournament starts to ensure proper weight class placement. Project 8 Wrestling does not support weight cutting.

    • All wrestlers are responsible for pre-registration or day of registration. Make sure you are registered under Project 8 Wrestling so coaching staff can track all wrestlers.

    Day of Tournament:

    • All Project 8 Wrestlers must arrive at tournaments in their Project 8 hoodie, sweats and slides. They must also wear their Project 8 black singlet and wrestling shoes on the mat. Some tournaments require either blue or red singlets to be worn. For Project 8 singlets and other apparel, please visit the Project 8 Merch Store.

    • General admission entry is typically cash only. Project 8 Wrestlers fee is covered under pre-registration or day of registration.

    • Warmups for tournaments will take place at the locations wrestling area. Wrestlers will begin warming up approximately one hour prior to start time.

    • Tournaments can last all morning and into the afternoon. Bring plenty of water, healthy snacks and anything you may need. Most locations have snack bars but options are limited.

    • Project 8 Wrestlers’ brackets can be found on Trackwrestling.com. Here you can confirm age division and weight class. You will also be able to see who they will be wrestling, their mat assignments, and progress. You can also set up alerts to inform you when they are on-deck for a bout.

    • Some tournaments are double elimination.

    • Parents are generally not allowed on the floor nor is it encouraged. Please let the coaches coach so you may enjoy your wrestlers matches.

    • It is your responsibility to get your Project 8 Wrestler to the floor and find a coach. Coaches will use the TeamReach app to communicate their general location. After warmups, wrestlers may need to wait in the stands until their name posts with a mat assignment on Trackwrestling.

    Post-Tournament

    • Before leaving a tournament, check in with a Project 8 coach to ensure you have no additional matches scheduled.

  • Parents will be added to our Project 8 HEJA app for both iPhone and Android phone users. The TeamReach app may be downloaded from the App Store or the Play Store.

HEJA will be your primary source for updates to practice schedules, Events/Tournament changes, and a convenient way for the Parents ask questions.
