As a wrestling coach, my journey started as a young boy growing up playing organized sports, all while rough housing with my friends running the streets of Newbury Park until the street lights came on. Getting into high school, I narrowed it down to three sports, joining the football, wrestling and track team. However my love for the sport of wrestling was re-ignited when my daughter joined the team as a freshman in high school. My passion escalated when I see the positive impact it has on the  lives of young athletes.  I see not only a physical change, but also a mental shift that tends to happen naturally as the discipline is instilled through hard work and dedication.

I believe wrestling goes beyond winning matches. As a coach I  like to Instill qualities in these athletes that they will not learn on their own. Teaching them invaluable lessons such as hard work, determination, persistence, and overcoming setbacks.

I strive to focus my coaching around the same values that were instilled in me through the coaches and mentors that I had growing up.  I want to bring a strong foundation to project 8, while creating a strong positive training environment for these kids to thrive in.  I want this to be a place the athletes can come to succeed and excel while doing something they love.
